I was going through some pictures tonight and came across these pics my my grandparent's wedding. It looks like their wedding was small and simple. Seems to be the way to get hitched in my family which I'm down with. I can't help but notice her suit and how different this wedding attire is from what most people wear today. I don't think this is typical of most 1940s brides but it definitely works for the occasion. She looks beautiful and they look so happy! I can't wait to see what our wedding photos will look like.

These are such lovely photos. I think lots of war brides got married in suits so their outfits probably aren't as unusual as you might think!
