I am sure it is no surprise to many of you that I love brunch. I have mentioned that one of my favourite things to do on a Saturday is to go out for brunch. The weird thing is that I have not blogged about brunch in a while so here goes ... I have visited Table 17 on several occasions and it has quickly become one of my fave brunch places in Queen East. Pictured below is the delicious scotch egg I once ate with a selection of cheeses. I did not know what a scotch egg was before that lovely Saturday morning. For those of you who are not familiar with it, it is a hard-boiled egg that is wrapped in sausage, coated in breadcrumbs and then deep-fried.
Below is another wonderful dish I ate for brunch at Table 17. I recall it being two eggs over some beef all on brioche bread. YUM! Their rosti is also very good :)
Check this place out if you live in T.O. They also serve lunch and dinner which I have heard is worth the wait in line.
What's your take on a scotch egg? Do you like them as much as I do?

Mmm... I love brunch. I love posts about brunch. I love foods served at brunch. Thanks for indulging me!
I have had a Scotch egg! An English-style pub near me offers one and my tentative first try at it ended in delight. I love the ingredients and the dish is so unusual. I've never seen it offered anywhere else here in the U.S. Glad to see you profile it.
I've never heard of a Scotch egg I'd love the chance to try one. Your whole plate looks so yummy.
Mmmmmmm, Scotch eggs!! I used to let my Nigerian students at the girls' school make these special eggs especially for the guests attending their cultural celebrations. Queen cakes and meat pies were also prepared.
I've always wanted to try Scotch eggs! I mean, I love eggs AND sausage! I bet it was SO good! I'm putting Table 17 on my 'Must try ASAP' list when I get t Toronto!
Ohman, this looks delicious. I have a serious love affair with all things eggs and this hard boiled egg thing that's wrapped in sausage, rolled in breadcrumbs, and THEN deep fried..?! that sounds just amazing. I've not had one, but I'd like to soon now! I'm glad that you enjoyed your delicious brunch. :D

I had never heard of scotch eggs until I read this post the other day and now I keep seeing them everywhere! They're even at the Whole Foods in Kensington in London!
So funny how we find out about something and then all of a sudden it's everywhere! Try them. They are good!
Awesome you are in London. I was there a few days on my way back from Europe last August. I want to go back for a longer period of time!
Wow. I'd never heard of a Scotch Egg either. It looks delicious and artery hardening all at the same time!
